Baby Bond Revew & Giveaway

Baby Bond was is owned and designed by Missy and was originally driven by her education in Speech-Language Pathology. Once she gave birth to her daughter, her knowledge that attention, eye contact and preverbal skills are absolutely essential in cognitive and laguage development, which turned into a passion for better nursing covers that covered mom and NOT baby. One that she could wear that would encourage eye contact and engagement rather than provoking sleep. Thus creating the Slurp & Burp which then turned into Baby Bond.

Baby Bond carries three distinct lines of nursing covers. Baby Bond Original is designed to be warn like a sash and is used for breastfeeding out of the top of your shirt. You then separate the panels to achieve latch on and away you go. Your top is covered by Baby Bond and your belly and back are covered by your own shirt. Baby Bond Flex is designed much like Original, however, it also has an extra terry velour burp cloth to use as needed. Baby Bond Couture is designed to be more adjustable to fit your body during all the changes after child birth. It can be used over the top much like the Flex or Original, however this one is also designed to use under your shirt, as well. Missy was gracious enough to offer us a Baby Bond Couture for review.

*first, I have to add that I do nurse in public, however, I feel that the nursing relationship between my son and I, is just that... between my son and I. I am NOT uncomfortable with my body but I also don't think it's appropriate for myself to just whip out my boob in front of others, to feed my son. My boobs are my property and I feel the need to keep our breastfeeding relationship private. I don't always cover up with a blanket or cover, or what-have-you, but I do make sure that my breasts are not exposed for others to see. I believe that my son has the right to eat anywhere that others are allowed to eat, but I also believe that my son has the right to be in public without seeing breasts. Therefor, I try to cover up my breasts when nursing, without covering up my son. I would also like to add that I am not bashing any woman out there. If you choose to nurse in public, or not, with or without a cover, that is all you. Yay for having the courage to do so! This is just my opinion of my breastfeeding relationship with my son. Nothing else.*

Likes: I love that this covers me up without covering my son. I love that he doesn't have to overheat under cover while trying to nurse while we're out. I love that it matches anything and everything in my closet and it's sooooo soft to touch. I love that I can use the extra ends as a burp cloth when needed and I REALLY love that it rolls into itself to keep it all neat, tidy and easy to find. I love that it covers my larger breasts very well and I don't have to tug and pull to get the coverage where I need it.

Dislikes: The only thing that is kind of a downer with this cover is that it took a try or two to get it on right. I was a little confused but the videos and pictures on their site (as well as the directions sewn right onto the cover, helps a ton! After the second time I got it and can throw it on in a jiffy, now!
