I'm not sure about you or where you live, but around here, cell signals can be lost from one house to another. We happen to be with a large cell service company so we usually don't have a problem but I will say that cell service in our house sucks. I'm constantly getting error messages and when I do manage to have a call connect I get no farther than mid conversation only to have my phone beep and say “call failed”. Nice. It's nothing less than extremely frustrating.
Due to these issues, I contacted zBoost to see if they would be interested in helping us out with our issue. Not only were they... but they were also generous enough to offer up a giveaway to one lucky reader, as well! zboost sent us their brand new zBoost Metro for review.
Likes: The thing that I like about this unit is that it's pretty simple to install. It does take a few minutes to do but it's pretty simple step by step instructions. The longest part of the installation process was trying to figure out where to set up the base & signal unit. Everything else was a breeze. I also like the fact that the zBoost Metro doesn't look like some weird device from a science fiction movie. It's rather sleek and pleasant to look at!
Dislikes: The one thing we're having issues with is getting the signal unit in the right place. While the directions are easy, we're having issues finding the right signal strength in our house. We have trees all around our house so it seems that the branches are blocking some of our signal. We are getting some boosted signal, however, so I don't think it's because of the unit, I think it's because of my location, house, trees, etc.
Rating: 8 out of 10

I would like to send a special Thank You to Deanna at zBoost for providing us the item reviewed as well as offering up the giveaway item! I was not compensated in anyway for this post and have no affiliation with zBoost.
That sounds pretty cool. We do have some cell issues at home. I didn't realize something like this existed.

ReplyDeleteThe Metro YX540 would be completely suitable, but of course I would trade it for the new YX545-SOHO if given the chance.

I know I already said that...but let me tell you why! My mom got a new laptop last year and she is so intimidated by it. She can only use it at her desk because the signal is so weak on their wireless system. I would like to get this for my mom so she can sit in the living room next to my dad while they watch tv and he can easily help her with any problems she has.
