Home Sweet Home

Today was our embryo tranfer. Something we were looking forward to, more than anything. It started off a bit tough this morning as I was required to drink 1.5 liters of water within 45 minutes and it had to be done 45 minutes BEFORE my procedure. Talk about drowning in your own fluids!! Not only did I feel like I was going to puke water all over the place, but I seriously felt like my bladder was going to explode! I honestly don't think the human body is meant to hold a liter and a half of water, all at once! I am not kidding. That was tough!

Then I had to take 2 valium. That was interesting. It didn't hit me till I hit the waiting room. Then I felt like I was melting. I seriously felt like I my head had melted off and I could no longer control myself.

They took me back into the procedure room and the nurse checked to see if my bladder was full enough.... I guess so because she told me to go to the bathroom and pee out 2 cups because it was too full! Talk about feeling WONDERFUL after that. It felt so good to just relieve at least some of the pressure.

Then the dr's came in and did the procedure. I was able to see everything as it happened. I was also given picture of our beautiful little embryos, and it may seem funny but I love them already. I feel the weirdest need to protect them and do everything that I can to keep them in there, happy and healthy.

I am on "light duty" for 2 weeks as they don't want me doing anything that will harm the little babes, so it's exactly what I am going to do.

I am so glad that they're back where they belong, in their mom's belly, happy, warm, comfy and healthy.

Thank you Lord, for letting me get this far. Please continue to protect them and keep them happy and safe.

*pictures coming soon*

(I know I am sorry, but I have to upload them!)

  1. I'm so excited for you. Sounds like it went off without a hitch. And those little fellers are safe and home where they belong. You're pregnant until proven otherwise. Congratulations!
