UV Skinz Review & Giveaway
UV Skinz was created by Rhonda Sparks after loosing her husband just three days after the September 11th tragedy. Her husband, Darren, was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer in 1996. After a 15 year battle with the disease, he lost his fight. It then became Rhonda's mission to bring awareness to anyone and everyone she can that skin cancer IS real and that it does effect far too many people. What many people don't know is even one sun burn in a child's first 15 years of life doubles their chance for skin cancer in the future. DOUBLES! How scary is that? Rhonda has come a long way to bringing awareness to the public and has done an extraordinary job protecting our little ones with the production of her amazing UV Skinz swimwear!
UV Skinz has an amazing line of swimwear! Swimwear for babies, kids and adults! They also have an amazing line of hats, UV shades and accessories! Every kind of UV protection you'd need! Rhonda was generous enough to offer up a UV Skinz Sharky-B Swim Shirt and a super cute pair of UV Skinz Baby Bloomers in Nautical Navy for review.
Likes: There are many things that I love about this swimwear. I love that it's one application! You don't have to spend 30 minutes of prep time trying to cover a wriggling baby in greasy sun screen. Just a simple application to his face, hands and legs and you're good to go. You don't have to spend the time covering the entire baby. I also love that it's all day protection. You don't have to bring baby in out of the fun in the sun to re-apply sunscreen. Just put the outfit on and you're good to go! I love the prints available and I love that this is true protection. You can stretch out one of the sleeves and hold it up to the light and you can't see any light through this, it's amazing! I love that it has a UPF rating of 50+. What is a UPF rating, you ask? Why, Ultraviolet Protection Factor, of course! 50+ is the highest UPF rating available! You can't get any better protection!
Dislikes: What is there to dislike about one application, all day protection from the sun's harmful rays? What's not to like about reducing my son's risk of skin cancer later on in life by such an easy one step process? The only other thing that could make this better was if they made pants!
Rating: 10 out of 10
